.During this project, we learned all about quadratic equations. First we started in a program called Desmos where we looked at the equation of a line. Then we learned about parabolas, and the vertex form. We added in one step at a time until we got y=a(x-h)^2+k. After that, we learned how to convert it to standard form. From there, we learned about factored form and how to get the equation to factored form. Towards the end of the project, we got to make quadratic postcards connecting quadratics with something in real life. I chose to focus on the quadratics of skipping rocks. Below is an image of my final postcard. I think the overall project went really well for me. I had already learned most of the content because I did a college class that went over the same material. It was a good review, though, since I was taking the SAT during the project and I could refresh my memory on how to do all the problems. I had a lot of fun with it because I was able to help other students when they were struggling and explain it to them. It felt good to be able to help them out when they didn't understand. I would not change anything about this project if I could because I felt like it was very successful. We went at a good pace so everyone understood the content without getting left behind or going too slow. I saw a lot of growth during this project and it will help me build on my skills going into 11th grade.
